Judge Strikes Glyphosate Labeling Requirement in California

In his preliminary injunction prohibiting California from implementing its Proposition 65 labeling requirement for glyphosate, U.S. District Court Judge William Shubb made it determined that the required warning is factually inaccurate and controversial. In addition to citing harm to the agricultural economy, Judge Shubb highlighted that only one organization has found glyphosate to be carcinogenic, while all other regulatory and governmental bodies, including the EPA, have found the opposite to be true.
